Kimono Butterick 6176
When we conceived Brunch and Sew we wanted to make sure we stayed true to our mission of being stylishly domesticated. What does stylishly domesticated mean to each of us may be different. In essence, domesticated over at Brunch and Sew means to be fond of sewing, entertaining, cultivated, and creating a beautiful home life. Using the resources and skills available to you to create the things you'd love. That's exactly what our founder Andrea Fenise did when creating her wardrobe for fall and winter. Here's the latest addition, a chiffon kimono using Butterick 6176 pattern.
Pattern Description: Butterick 6176 Misses Kimono Pattern
Pattern Sizing: I cut the XS
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? The pattern reads fast and easy. It was beyond fast and super easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked how simple the instructions were. Constructing the garment was so easy.
Fabric Used: I used a slate grey chiffon from Walmart. I've had the fabric for almost a year and a half and decided to make use of it.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made LOOK F minus the sleeves and front pocket.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Of course, I will make it in a knit and teach others hint hint January's Brunch and Sew workshop.
